Today was the Easter Hat Parade at Jack's preschool. The kids were supposed to decorate a hat that they would then wear during their parade around the high school. Usually this would be done by Stephen, king of all things crafty. But he was rounding at the hospital so it was left to me to create the best Easter hat in the history of Harding Academy. Below are some pictures of my attempt.
Heather told them to squat down to be able to see some of the animals better. After a while they were saying "I wanna get low." Kind of reminded us of the song about the jeans and the boots with the fur.
It's just amazing the things that a 2 year old finds interesting. Jack was intrigued by the water running through this drain. MC shared in his excitement. Afterwards, they were doused with Purell in hopes of killing any monkey germs they may have touched. Pointing out the size of the gorilla foot. "Dat's a big foot."
A pediatric oncology nurse in a previous life, I am now a stay at home mommy. Stephen and I have been married for 8 wonderful years and have 4 beautiful children. Jack is 7, Kate and Ella are 5, and Reed is 2. They keep me busy but I love it. I love living in the South, sweet tea, front porch swings, purses, shopping for my kids, magazines, traveling, Ole Miss football, the beach and I'll monogram anything that doesn't fight back. This is our attempt to journal our children's lives since, Lord knows, I don't have time to keep up with a baby book.
