Are You Ready? I Know We Are!

There's nothing better than Ole Miss football. Well, a winning season would make it better. I'm dying to go to a game and tailgate in the Grove, but I don't think we'll make it seeing that I'll be hugely pregnant by the time it's cool enough to go to a game. The sound of a gazillion fans yelling Hotty Toddy just makes me happy!

First Day of Preschool

Well, my baby girls are babies no longer. Not only will they be three next month, but they started preschool this week. They're going to Germantown Presbyterian Preschool two days a week from 9-2. The same hours as MDO but more "preschool-y." So far they LOVE it. They run in and don't even look back to tell me goodbye. That makes me so happy but so sad too. I'm glad they are doing so well, but it feels like they don't "need" me as much. They are growing up way too fast!
Kate wasn't feeling the backpack picture.

Waiting to go in their classroom.

First Day of Jr. Kindergarten

Today was Jack's phase-in day at JK. He was fine. I was a nervous wreck. New campus, new teacher, new friends. I'm sure he'll do fine. Can't wait to see him though!

First Day of Dancing

The girls started dancing today. I have been waiting for this day for almost 3 years!! I was a nervous wreck but they both did great!! They loved Miss Nadine and had a great time. They have their first recital in December and I'm counting down the days.

Tea Party

Winona

The kids and I went down to Winona last week for a couple of days before everybody went back to school. We had such a fun time and we're ready to go back.

Jack loves to see his good friend Murry Catherine.

Winona really tires a girl out.

(Big) Baby Brother

Here's the latest picture of baby brother. At my 19 week ultrasound he was measuring 2 weeks ahead. Today at 23 weeks he is still measuring 2 weeks ahead, already weighing 1 lb. 11 oz. Dr. Chauhan estimates he'll be around 9 or 9 1/2 pounds. Oh. My. Word. Jack was 8.7 lbs and I thought that was huge! So it looks like he'll be here the first week of November-don't think we'll make it to the 17th. Now we just need to settle on his name. We think it's gonna be Reed Thomas but we're still trying out others.

Ready for Dancing

The girls will start taking dancing in August. I am SO excited!! That's one of the reasons I wanted little girls- my Nannie was a dance teacher for over 60 years, my mom teaches now, and my sister and I took for years. I only wish Nannie was here to see them. She'd be so proud. They are pretty cute. :)

Movie Day

The kids and I went the children's matinee Wednesday. Amazingly, they were still and quiet and loved the movie.

Cinda-Ella and White-White

Lauren's Birthday Party

The girls went to Lauren's 7th birthday party last weekend. Jack was in Winona so he had to miss it. I met Lauren when she was just a year old. She's such a precious girl. Kate and Ella just adore her.

Fourth of July

We went to the annual Germantown fireworks again this year. The weather was wonderful and the kids had a great time running around. We missed all my family and Kristen and Murry Catherine. I think the heat last year scared them off.
Ella demanded to carry her own chair. It didn't last long.

The firemen let the kids hop in the fire truck. Kate, of course, would have no part of it.

Enjoying a funnel cake.

Home Again, Home Again

On the way home from Chattanooga, we stopped to eat at Loretta Lynn's restaurant. The food wasn't great and it was a little creepy eating in a room surrounded by life size statues of her.

Look Mommy We're Ner-Nays

That would be mermaids in Kate language. Messy hair and no bows but cute nonetheless.

Chattanooga Day 2-Rock City

Heather and all her chickens.

A beautiful boy in front of beautiful scenery.

I can only imagine how much harder it will be to get a picture of all of us when the baby comes.

While my mom and I were talking we lost sight of Ella for just one second. I was afraid my little daredevil had gone flying down the side of the mountain. But this is where we found her.
Jack, Mimi, and G taking a break.
Kate wasn't in the happiest of moods so we thought maybe some princess gear would cheer her up. It didn't work as well as we hoped.
