First Day of Pre-K

Last Friday was the girls' first day of pre-k at GPP. It was such a big day-they were so excited! It was also a big day for Mama. It was the first day Kate and Ella were not in the same classroom. They have done fine so far but it's still a little strange with them being separated!

This Boy

This boy is 22 months old today. Way too close to 2 for this mama! He is picking up new words everyday. He's starting to put words together. Some new ones are Daddy gone, all gone, Mama sit(?),
where Jack/Ella, "peese" Mama, "sowy" Mama just to name a few. He says hello like "hah lo." He sounds just like Stephen's German grandmother.

But man, this boy is testing me lately. He can throw a fit like a pro, loves to tell me no, has become a bit of a biter and hitter and pulls hair like it's his job. But, he is also the snuggliest, Mommy loving, sweetest kissing 22 month old I know. We are so blessed to have this little boy in our lives!

We Need to Rethink Our Discipline

So Reed is going through a hitting and pulling hair phase. It's obnoxious and his poor brother and sisters are usually on the receiving end. We're trying to get it under control before he starts school in a couple of weeks.

The other day I put him in time out. First he laughed at me. Then I heard him singing. When I went to get him this is the face I found. He could have cared less. Think we need to find a new plan.

First Day of First Grade

My biggest boy started first grade yesterday! He's going to Riverdale this year. New school, new friends, new rules. We'll miss Harding but are excited about the year ahead!

Beach Day 2

We headed to the beach early in the morning on Thursday. It was so beautiful! There was a giant tide pool that Reed loved to play in. Jack was all about jumping the waves, Kate loved looking for shells, and Ella loved trying to dig giant holes.

Mimi, G, Heather, Stan, and Gaines joined us that afternoon. We played in the pool for a while then the girls, Stan and Heather and Stephen and me all went to The Steamer for dinner. So yummy!

Orange Beach Day 1

After a lot of driving, we finally made it to the beach. We headed down right away. All 4 loved it! Even Reed who is terrified of the bath tub these days and Kate who one never knows what she will like. The water was a little rough but it was beautiful!l

Summer So Far

We have been having a great time since school got out. Lots of swimming, playing outside, and picnics. We're headed down to Orange Beach today for a few days. Usually I HATE summer but since I've lost 100 pounds I don't dread it near as much. I'm actually looking forward to going to the pool and being outside with the kids. Never thought that would happen!
