New Dresses

My friend Candice made these adorable dresses for the girls. So, so cute. They are going to wear them to their birthday party. I LOVE them! Much cuter than anything I could buy in a store and more special because they were made by someone I know. Check out her sewing blog on the right. Thanks so much Candice!!

Am I Ready for This?

The answer is no, at least not right now. Ella has started telling me when she needs a diaper change, but Kate could care less. Gymboree had these on sale and I couldn't resist. Oh, I could just eat her with a spoon she's so cute!

Ready to Cheer for the WHS Tigers

Practicing her stunts already.
While Kate was cheering Ella was trying on new fall clothes. The girls have never worn jeans before so she was a little unsure of how they felt.

First Day of School

So Jack has an intense aversion to buttons. An INTENSE aversion. So Tuesday morning I thought I'd slip this shirt on him, not make a big deal about it and he'd be fine. Wrong! Not a happy camper. So we changed and all was right with the world.

Same child, different shirt.

Ella, The Fashionista

Check out Ella's new ensemble. That would be Jack's shirt, shorts, and socks along with her dress. This child is ALWAYS digging clothes out of drawers, dirty clothes baskets, wherever, and putting them on. I found her the other day with 2 shirts and 3 pairs of shorts on. Needless to say, she and her sister are getting tons of dress-up clothes for their birthday!

Meet The Teacher

Jack has his phase-in day tomorrow at preschool. We went to meet his teacher and see his new classroom on Friday. He is going to be a monkey this year-very fitting. We're excited about the new school year starting. I can't wait to see what he learns this year!

Redneck Pool Party

After lunch at the Country Club last Sunday, Heather, Mimi, and G took the kids to look at the pool while I stayed to talk to the Corbans. Well, Ella slipped in so the other two followed, of course. We must have looked like hillbillies with the girls just in diapers and shirts and Jack in all his clothes. They had fun though.

The Dumbest Thing Anyone's Ever Said

I get all kinds of comments when I'm out with the twins and Jack- better you than me, double trouble, you've got your hands full, who's the smartest, who's the sweetest, who was born first {why does it matter?}, and on and on. Occasionally I'll get the "you're so blessed", which I am, but that is rare and it is usually said by little old ladies. But today takes the cake. While we were at the grocery store a woman came up to me and said, "Aren't little girls so much better than little boys?" With Jack standing right there! Now I don't know if he heard or even understood what she said, but still. people are dumb sometimes.

When Jack got his first tooth, I was religious about brushing that one little pearly white. I can't same the same about the girls. I am going to try to do better girls! Please excuse the scraggly hair-it was the afternoon and the bows had long been pulled out.

One of Those Days

Yesterday afternoon was just one of those days-lots of fighting, crying, pushing, biting, hitting, screaming. By the end of the day, I'm surprised I had any hair left because I just about pulled it all out. When I had just about had it I turned around and saw this- these sweet little faces made me smile.

Kate and her Stuff

Fun at the Sprinkler Park

We went out to the sprinkler park in Collierville this morning before it got too hot and too crowded. Just as I thought, Jack and Ella loved it, Kate hated it.
Look at that cuteness!! I can hardly stand it!

Ella strikes a pose.

Juice break!
They spent about 15 minutes putting clover down the drain.
